Chetarca — Chetarca 1975 (Australia, Progressive Rock)
The only album by the Melbourne band, formed in 1972. The band lacks a guitarist, but features two keyboardists who improvise and collaborate. The pianist plays a leading role, creating the colorful musical canvases on the album. The band also has a bluesy feel thanks to the frequent use of harmonica. The apotheosis is the 23-minute epic "The Oceanic Suite," where the band demonstrates their skill, showcasing their keyboard sound in all its glory. The band's single "Another Day/Fisherman's Nightmare" spent three weeks in the Australian charts at #75. After Chetarca's breakup, bassist John Rees formed the band "Men At Work."
