Senior politician and opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai, head of the Tehreek Tahafuz Aeen Pakistan and Chairman of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, delivered a powerful statement questioning state policies and internal contradictions.
He stated that Pakistan cannot be run with sticks and force, emphasizing that people must be taken along. Achakzai highlighted that Afghan children born and raised in Pakistan were meant to be granted citizenship under a unanimous parliamentary decision.
He reminded the nation that tribal people of FATA served as unpaid soldiers, and even today thousands are serving in security forces. Questioning the narrative, he asked: “If they are terrorists, how are they guarding embassies and the National Assembly?”
Achakzai strongly criticized the state for declaring every victim of violence a terrorist, while nearly 80 people are killed daily without accountability. He demanded an end to contradictions, policy review, and stressed that peace is impossible without justice.
