BJP MP Sambit Patra launched a sharp attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her government of pursuing appeasement politics and warning that the state is being pushed toward political and social isolation.
Referring to Bengal as a land of spirituality, sacrifice, and penance, Patra expressed concern that the current governance has created an atmosphere similar to “Banga-Bhanga.” Questioning the direction of the state, he asked, “Is Bengal a part of India or not?”The remarks have sparked strong political reactions and intensified the ongoing debate over governance, appeasement, and national unity in West Bengal.
