The Zones of Special Operations bill was passed in the lower house around 3:30am today.
All government members and the two TPP MPs voted for, while 11 opposition members voted against the bill which will now go to the senate for debate.
MP for Laventille West Kareem Marcelle during his contribution said his constituents will be among those most severely affected, calling the bill an infringement on the rights of the many law-abiding citizens in his and the other constituencies .
