The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe weather alert for North India between January 19 and 24. A triple threat of bone-chilling cold, dense fog, and unseasonal rain/snowfall is expected to hit Delhi-NCR, UP, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan. While the Himalayan regions will witness heavy snowfall, the plains are bracing for moderate rainfall and intensified cold waves.
