Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) announced a series of successful strikes against Russian military targets, including air-defense elements, artillery systems, and unmanned aerial vehicle depots.
The information was released by SBS commander Robert Brovdi, known by the callsign “Magyar,” via his social media channels.
According to the statement, the operations took place between January 17 and 19 and involved multiple units specializing in precision drone strikes. Among the targets hit was a launcher from the S-300V surface-to-air missile system, initially identified as the 9A84 model.
Based on visual indicators, however, the vehicle may also correspond to the 9A82 launcher, a hypothesis supported by the presence of only two transport-and-launch containers. Another possibility considered is a 9A84 operating with an incomplete ammunition load.
The combat vehicle was struck in temporarily occupied territory in the Luhansk region. This is not the first time components of the S-300V system have been targeted by Ukrainian forces. On January 9, an attack was reported against the 9S32M1 guidance radar station associated with the same air-defense complex.
In addition, SBS units confirmed the neutralization of a 240 mm M-1991 multiple rocket launcher system of North Korean manufacture, currently in use by Russian forces. The exact location of this strike was not disclosed.
This marks the second publicly confirmed destruction of this type of system, the first having been recorded on June 26, 2025, also attributed to Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.
According to Ukrainian command, the actions were carried out by units from the SBS 1st Separate Center, the Kairos Battalion of the 414th Brigade “Magyar’s Birds,” and the 412th Nemesis Brigade, in coordination with the newly established Deep Damage Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces Group.
The operations are part of Ukraine’s strategy to degrade critical Russian capabilities through deep precision strikes.
