There will not be a return of the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) and Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3) examinations, confirms Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.
Speaking to the media after the launch of the National Education Plan 2026-2035 today (Jan 20), Fadhlina said the national exams are no longer suitable for today’s students.
She said the government will instead implement the Malaysian Learning Metrics for Year Four and Form Three, where the tests will identify students needing interventions before they complete primary school or sit for SPM.
