Watch this clip where a simple miscalculation on a jump turned into a serious accident, but the skier miraculously walked away.
Platon Sacharov recorded this video where his friend Mark Schwartzkopff from Munich, Germany, attempted a ski jump and misjudged the landing, fracturing his vertebra.
Despite the severity of the injury, Mark is out of the hospital and able to walk again.
A user commented: “You really are lucky. That kind of face-first fall usually would implode your vertebrae in a way that completely rips apart your spinal cord. You are super lucky to not be paralyzed from the neck down, but that means you can keep shredding in the future!”
