Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called for the proposed centralised pig farming project in Bukit Tagar, Selangor, to be put on hold or relocated to a more suitable site following concerns raised by local residents.
Speaking to reporters after Friday prayers in Bangi, Anwar said he would discuss the matter with Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari to find the best solution.
While acknowledging that the project falls under state jurisdiction, he said the federal government remains concerned due to the public unease it has generated.
