Morning Dew — Second Album 1968-70 (USA, Psychedelic Rock)
This disc features material from the band's second album, recorded in January 1970, plus four tracks recorded at Fairyland Studios in the summer of 1968.Musically I like both albums about the same. The big difference is perhaps that this one has a terrible album cover that looks like it was done on the cheap while the debut has such a beautiful, distinct imagery.
Satin Got a Hold on Thee is definitely sung as Satan. In 1995, the American psychedelic rock band The Morning Dew (hailing from Topeka, Kansas) released an archival collection titled Second Album.
Background and Recording
The album consists of material originally intended for the band's sophomore release following their 1970 self-titled debut on Roulette Records. While the band recorded these tracks between 1968 and 1970, the original project was shelved when the label faced legal and financial difficulties. It was eventually issued on CD in 1995 by the label Collectables
