A snow-covered house in Oklahoma City erupts in flames
A giant fire broke out in a rural home in southeast Oklahoma City on Sunday morning amid a heavy winter storm that prevented emergency crews from responding to the blaze in a timely manner. The fire, that local media reported started in the garage, had spread to the attic by the time firefighters arrived in the snow-covered neighborhood.
Aerial images showed high plumes of thick smoke and flames rising from the roof of the home. At least 50% of the home was destroyed, local media reported, citing the Oklahoma City Fire Department. The cause of the fire was unclear.
