An urban explorer has uncovered a long-forgotten dinosaur museum complete with fossils, skeletons and a towering T-rex display.
The footage was filmed by Bob Thissen, 40, an animator and urban explorer from the Netherlands, during an exploration of a seemingly abandoned dinosaur museum in China.
Accompanied by fellow explorer Andrea, Thissen wandered through the silent halls of the former attraction, which once showcased prehistoric life on a massive scale.
Inside the museum, more than 100 skeletons and fossils remain scattered throughout multiple rooms.
Despite years of abandonment, many of the exhibits are still intact, creating an eerie, time-capsule atmosphere.
Still, the scale of the location and the sheer number of displays left behind make it a rare and striking discovery.
The highlight of the exploration is a T-rex skeleton dominating one of the main rooms, giving the abandoned museum the surreal feeling of a movie set frozen in time.
Bob Thissen said: “Inside we find a lot of skeletons, fossils and even a T-rex. It felt like stepping into the movie A Night in the Museum.
“When I found out there was an abandoned dinosaur museum, it attracted my attention because it was something I never explored before.
“When I was a kid, I was really into dinosaurs.
“There were easily over 100 skeletons and fossils in this abandoned museum.
“The highlight of the location was the skeleton of a T-rex. The bones were not real, but still impressive to see.
“The museum also housed some real fossils, which were amazing to observe.
“The skeletons upstairs felt a bit cheap and outdated. That’s probably why the museum got closed, it was too old-fashioned."
One viewer said: I can't say if I'm impressed, terrified or just sad that a museum got abandoned.”
Another viewer said, “Every abandoned place is a museum, but this was actually one before it was abandoned, that’s crazy.”
A third viewer said: “As a huge paleo-fan this is extra cool.”
