DOST seeks closer collaboration between weavers, textile stakeholders
Science and Technology Secretary Renato Solidum Jr. urges weavers and textile stakeholders to sustain initiatives through continuous dialogue, stressing the need for cross-disciplinary collaboration to revive the country’s textile industry. The Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Textile Research Institute opened this year’s National Textile Convention, or TELACon, at Pasay City on Jan. 27, 2026 to celebrate this year’s Philippine National Textile Month.
