Canberrans have been promised a more lucrative Return and Earn scheme for drink containers but they could be waiting another year and a half. By mid-2027, most containers up to three litres including for wine and spirits, cordials and juices will be eligible under the act's container deposit scheme which has processed more than 430-million containers since 2018.
