Glenorchy Council shuts down Hobart City Council amalgamation proposal

An amalgamation proposal between Hobart city council and Glenorchy has been shot down, after a vote by the Glenorchy council last night. It's another hit to attempts to reduce the number of councils in Tasmania from 29.
