A Thursday (Jan 29) night sweep by the Immigration Department in Cheras led to the arrest of more than 200 foreign nationals for immigration offences.
Deputy director-general of operations Datuk Lokman Effendi Ramli said the operation at Taman Emas involved over 1,000 inspections and resulted in the detention of 220 individuals aged 18 to 52, including those without valid entry passes.
