Cebu will have two seasoned queens at Miss Universe Philippines

Cebu will have two seasoned queens competing at this year’s Miss Universe Philippines pageant. Nicole Borromeo will represent Cebu Province, while Apriel Smith will represent Cebu City. The two will bring their extensive pageant experience to the national stage. Borromeo was crowned Miss Universe Philippines Cebu 2025 and placed third runner-up at Miss International 2023. Smith, on the other hand, won Binibining Cebu 2017 and previously competed in Miss Universe Philippines 2020. Irma Bitzer, owner of the Miss Universe Philippines Cebu franchise, said during the press presentation that she appointed these girls because they are proudly Cebuana and have competed at the national arena. She also explained that no local pageant will be held this year due to last year’s calamities but emphasized that Cebu will still be represented.
