കേരളത്തെ പൂർണമായും തഴഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടുളള കേന്ദ്രബജറ്റിനെതിരെ ശക്തമായ പ്രതിഷേധം ഉയർത്തി കേരളത്തിലെ ഭരണപ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാക്കൾ. സാമ്പത്തിക ഉപരോധത്തിലൂടെ കേരളത്തെ തകർക്കുന്ന നിലപാട് തുടരുന്ന കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ, ബജറ്റിലൂടെ കേരളത്തോടുള്ള യുദ്ധപ്രഖ്യാപനമാണ് നടത്തിയതെന്ന് സിപിഐ എം സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറി എം വി ഗോവിന്ദൻ വാർത്താ സമ്മേളനത്തിൽ പ്രതികരിച്ചു. എതിർപ്പ് അറിയിച്ച് പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവ് വിഡി സതീശനും രംഗത്തെത്തി. Kerala’s ruling and opposition leaders have strongly protested against the Union Budget, alleging that the state has been completely sidelined. Reacting at a press conference, CPI(M) state secretary M. V. Govindan said that the Centre, which continues to weaken Kerala through economic restrictions, has effectively declared a “war against Kerala” through the Budget. Leader of the Opposition V. D. Satheesan also came forward, expressing strong opposition to the Centre’s stance.
