केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा कि वाराणसी और पटना में शिप रेपियरिंग सेंटर की स्थापना की जाएगी। सरकार का लक्ष्य है कि गंगा समेत अन्य नदियों के जल मार्गों से माल ढुलाई को बढ़ाया जाए।
इसके लिए वाराणसी और पटना को वाटरवेड हब के रूप में विकसित किया जाएगा। घोषणा के अनुसार वाटरवेज का इस्तेमाल करने के लिए ट्रेनिंग दी जाएगी।
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that ship repair centers will be established in Varanasi and Patna. The government aims to increase freight transport through waterways, including the Ganges River.
For this purpose, Varanasi and Patna will be developed as waterway hubs. According to the announcement, training will be provided for using the waterways.
