Israel reopened the border between Gaza and Egypt on Monday (Feb 2) for people on foot, a move that would allow Palestinians to leave the enclave and let back in those who want to return after fleeing the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza for more than two years.
Israeli and Egyptian authorities are expected to impose caps on the number of travellers, giving priority to those seeking medical treatment.
