A coastal winter storm delivered heavy snow across North Carolina in the United States on Feb 1, coating homes, roads and playgrounds in thick drifts as residents navigated rare winter conditions.
The extreme weather, which also hit many other states over the last week, has caused at least two deaths in the state.
