दिवंगत निरीक्षक जगदीश जिला मथुरा (उत्तर प्रदेश) के रहने वाले थे. 31 जनवरी 2026 को पुलिस लाइन पलवल से सूरजकुंड मेला ड्यूटी हेतु नियुक्त किए गए थे. अपने कर्तव्यों के प्रति उनकी निष्ठा, अनुशासन और कर्तव्यपरायणता के लिए वे विभाग में जाने जाते थे. सूरजकुंड मेले में इंस्पेक्टर जगदीश प्रसाद की शहादत ने सबकी आंखें नम कर दी हैं. अपनी जान की परवाह किए बगैर जगदीश प्रसाद ने कई लोगों की जान बचाई पर अफसोस गंभीर रूप से घायल एसएचओ की इलाज के दौरान मौत हो गई.
