Taiwan has seen a spike in Chinese coast guard incursions ahead of the Lunar New Year. On Monday afternoon, four Chinese vessels were spotted entering restricted waters near Taiwan’s outlying Kinmen Islands, prompting Taiwan's coast guard to deploy patrol boats in response.
