लोकसभा में नेता प्रतिपक्ष राहुल गांधी का संबोधन शुरू हो गया है। वे कई मुद्दों पर अपने विचार रख रहे हैं। उनके संबोधन के दौरान सत्ता पक्ष लगातार हंगामा कर रहा है। राहुल गांधी बजट को लेकर भी अहम बातें बोल रहे हैं, उन्होंने अपनी बात समझाने के लिए मार्शल आर्ट्स का जिक्र भी किया है।राहुल गांधी कहते हैं कि मार्शल आर्ट की फाउंडेशन ग्रिप से शुरू होती है। लक्ष्य होता है कि ग्रिप मिलने के बाद चोक लेकर गला पकड़ लिया जाए। ऐसा करते समय जब खिलाड़ी के हाथ में चोक आ जाता है, तो ये उसकी आंख में दिख जाता है। उसे समझ आ जाता है कि मैंने इसे पकड़ लिया है। जिसे पकड़ा जाता है, वो 2-3 बार छूटने की कोशिश करता है, लेकिन फिर उसे भी पता चल जाता है- अब मैं गया। बात वहीं खत्म हो जाती है और जिसे पकड़ा जाता है वो टैप कर ‘सरेंडर’ कर देता है। ग्रिप राजनीति में भी होती है। फर्क ये है कि मार्शल आर्ट में ग्रिप नजर आती है, लेकिन राजनीति में किसने-कहां ग्रिप ले रखी है, कौन कहां चोक ले रहा है- वो नजर नहीं आता।

The person being held tries to break free two or three times, but then he too knows – it's all over. That's where it ends, and the person being held taps out to “surrender”. Grip happens in politics too. The difference is that in martial arts, the grip is visible, but in politics, you can't see who has taken the grip or who is applying the choke.
