Corvina – Utak Előtt 1975 (Hungary, Psychedelic,Progressive,Pop Rock)
Corvina came from Budapest, Hungary and originated from a band called Rangers. It was around 1970, when they were formed by brothers Rezso Soltesz (bass, vocals) and Gabor Soltesz (flute, acoustic guitar), while a solid line-up for the next eight years was established by Ferenc Szigeti on guitar/vocals, Peter Fonyodi on drums and Zsolt Makay on keyboards. They released their eponymous debut in 1974 on the Pepita label and the same album was released the following year in Czech Republic and Russia in a different edition with English titles. At the time Corvina had already been working on a second album for Pepita, titled ''Utak elott''.
Reputedly this was also the most progressive album by the band, who basically fell somewhere between Heavy Rock and Psych/Pop throughout its career.
