Udo Lindenberg — Lindenberg 1971 (Germany, Krautrock,Progressive Rock)

Udo Lindenberg's self-titled debut album (1971) is a milestone in the early German rock scene, combining elements of Krautrock and Progressive Rock with jazz influences.
In contrast to his later career, which established him as a pioneer of German-language rock, this album is sung entirely in English.
Lindenberg took over vocals, drums and keyboards, while Steffi Stephan (bass) and Andy Marx (guitar) participated. The recording took place in August 1971 at the Star Music Studio in Hamburg.
The album includes tracks such as "It Is Allright Again", "Paradise Now" and "Alkoholmädchen".
It was not a commercial success upon its release, as Lindenberg found his personal mark and great recognition a few years later with the album Alles klar auf der Andrea Doria (1973).
Collector's Value: The original Telefunken edition was released in a gatefold cover and is now considered a rare piece for fans of the genre.
