Watch as a strange early-morning moment left a student stunned after what first appeared to be an optical illusion turned out to be a sleepy kitty.
The video, filmed by Emilda Faizal at her residence in Sabah, Malaysia shows what looks like the shadow of a cat lying motionless inside a roadside drain.
Having just woken up, Emilda initially believed it was only a trick of the light.
Curious, she moved and noticed the cat’s eyes suddenly opening and the cat's head moved.
Minutes later, the cat unexpectedly stood up, stretched, and calmly walked away as if nothing had happened, leaving Emilda completely surprised.
The unusual moment quickly amused viewers online, with one commenting: “That was having a quick nap.”
