Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Assam on Saturday morning to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for multiple developmental projects worth approximately Rs 5,400 crore. A key highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu, a 1.24-kilometre-long six-lane bridge over the mighty Brahmaputra River.
