Orphan Egg — Orphan Egg 1968 (USA, Garage, Psychedelic Rock)

The American band Orphan Egg was formed in 1967 in San Jose, California. All of its members were students at Saratoga High School. That same year, the band won the national talent competition "The Vox Battle of the Bands." Vox, a leading manufacturer of radio and other equipment, presented the winners with some of its latest developments, as well as a recording contract for one album. Apparently, the donated equipment was used in the recording—the sound is truly exceptional. As for the music itself, the following can be said: the musicians of Orphan Egg didn't play anything fundamentally new, focusing on garage and psychedelic rock, incorporating elements of British beat and blues rock. Unfortunately, the musicians, who undoubtedly showed promise, separated in 1968.
