Large plumes of smoke rose over parts of the southwestern United States on Tuesday (Feb 17) as fast-moving wildfires swept across multiple states.
Local media reported the fires had ballooned from about 15,000 acres to roughly 145,000 acres in around eight hours, with strong winds driving the rapid expansion.
