Ecology — Environment/Evolution 1970 (USA, Psychedelic, Folk Rock)

The project, called "Ecology," was formed in Los Angeles, California, around 1969-70. Former The Blue Things frontman Val Stoecklein teamed up with producer and arranger Ray Ruff to form this strange, secretive group and record a concept LP. The album sold rather poorly commercially, but the musicians' playing and singing are quite good. Does anyone know who else played on the sessions for this recording? Val himself can't remember. However, several tracks are clearly performed by others, so perhaps Ruff himself was risking adding to his short career. Nothing has survived from Happy Tiger Records' records either, so it's surprising it was released at all. This recording has no connection to The Blue Things. The album has never been reissued on CD.
