Authorities in Colombia responded to an emergency in the municipality of San Juan de Urabá, Antioquia, after a volcanic eruption forced the evacuation of several homes. Videos showed a huge column of fire lighting up the sky, visible from nearby towns, which increased concern among the community. The Antioquia Risk Management Administrative Department reported no injuries or fatalities, though the death of several animals was confirmed and damage to the road was reported. At least four homes were evacuated. Firefighters controlled the flames to prevent a forest fire, while traffic was restricted due to cracks in the road.
