China is willing to work with the United States to implement and safeguard a consensus reached in a Feb 4 call between their two leaders, a commerce ministry spokesperson said on Feb 26.
China is monitoring US policies and will decide on countermeasures to US tariffs after President Donald Trump said he would levy a new temporary tariff of 15% on US imports following the Supreme Court's decision to strike down tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act on goods shipped to the US.
