It's a rather dark, haunting psychedelia.Circuit Rider is a rare 1971 private-press psychedelic blues-rock album recorded in Norwalk, Connecticut. Renowned in "Acid Archives" circles as a "burnout biker-psych" masterpiece, it features gritty, whispered vocals and heavy guitar work, often compared to a darker Doors or Stooges sound.
Recorded in Sept/Oct 1971, the album was released privately, often associated with the Poison Ring label.
Known for its raw, drug-induced, and melancholic atmosphere.
The album was reissued by The Numero Group in 2012.
Rarity: Original 1971 pressings are considered highly rare and valuable, sometimes priced over $600.
