World leaders reacted with a mix of support, condemnation and urgent calls for restraint after the United States and Israel launched a sweeping military campaign against Iran on Saturday that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
President Donald Trump announced Khamenei’s death in a post on Truth Social, calling it “the single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their country.”
