A leading allergy expert wants tick-safety advice to become as popular as 'slip, slop, slap' following the country's first confirmed death from a tick-induced allergic reaction. The CSIRO says more cases of mammalian meat allergy (or alpha-gal syndrome) are being reported each year, mostly around northern NSW and south-east Queensland.
