Tensions along the Israel–Lebanon border have sharply escalated after Hezbollah formally entered the conflict. Air raid sirens sounded across cities in northern Israel, while the Israeli military claimed it intercepted several projectiles midair. In response, Israel carried out airstrikes on Hezbollah-linked sites in Beirut’s southern suburbs and other areas, with reports of multiple casualties and injuries. Lebanon’s prime minister condemned the escalation as irresponsible. The growing exchanges have heightened fears of a wider regional war, with both sides remaining on high alert.
