Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp says that the Conservatives will work with Labour backbencher MPs who disagree with government plans to restrict jury trials in England and Wales. Labour's Justice Secretary David Lammy has said the reforms are necessary to clear the backlog of cases in the courts system.
