सरकार ने घरेलू गैस सिलेंडर की बुकिंग नियमों में बदलाव कर दिया है. नए नियमों के अनुसार, एलपीजी (LPG) सिलेंडर की बुकिंग के लिए न्यूनतम समय सीमा को 21 दिन से बढ़ाकर 25 दिन कर दिया गया है. यानी अब आप 25 दिन बाद ही सिलेंडर बुक करा सकेंगे. इस कदम का मुख्य उद्देश्य बाजार में गैस की जमाखोरी और संभावित कालाबाजारी पर लगाम लगाना है.
सरकार ने गैस बुकिंग के नियम भले ही बदल दिए हो लेकिन पेट्रोल, डीजल या रसोई गैस की कीमतों में फिलहाल बढ़ोतरी करने का उसका कोई इरादा नहीं है. सरकार के पास ईंधन का पर्याप्त भंडार मौजूद है. विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि जब तक कच्चे तेल की कीमत 130 डॉलर प्रति बैरल के पार नहीं जाती, तब तक घरेलू कीमतों में वृद्धि की संभावना कम है.
