NHS England say waiting lists are down despite the NHS seeing its busiest winter on record. Health Secretary Wes Streeting praised the latest figures, saying: "We are not out of the woods, there is still far too many people waiting too long but I hope people draw some hope and encouragement that the NHS is on the road to recovery."
