वैश्विक स्तर पर मध्य पूर्व में बढ़ते तनाव का असर अब कच्चे तेल की कीमतों पर साफ दिखने लगा है। अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में क्रूड ऑयल के दामों में लगातार उतार-चढ़ाव हो रहा है, जिससे भारत सहित कई देशों की पेट्रोलियम आपूर्ति को लेकर चिंता बढ़ गई है। इसी बीच देश में पेट्रोल, डीजल और एलपीजी की उपलब्धता को लेकर भी सवाल उठने लगे हैं। इस मुद्दे पर कांग्रेस सांसद Shashi Tharoor ने सरकार से संसद में चर्चा कराने की मांग की है। उन्होंने कहा कि विपक्ष सिर्फ इतना चाहता है कि इस विषय पर खुलकर चर्चा हो और सरकार जनता को भरोसा दिलाए कि ईंधन आपूर्ति और कीमतों को लेकर कोई बड़ा संकट नहीं आने वाला है।
