Fulham looking to win away to Wolfsburg

Manager Roy Hodgson wants his team to play positively and win away despite leading 2-1 in Fulham's Europa League tie against Wolfsburg.

But there's even more riding on the outcome for talismanic winger Damien Duff.

Duff said: "Will winning the Europa League make up for losing out on the World Cup? Yes, that and more."

The Republic of Ireland international was denied the chance to go to the World Cup for the second time courtesy of a Thierry Henry handball that saw them lose 2-1 in a play-off against France.

Fulham will set up a semi-final against Hamburg or Standard Liege should they progress and Duff admits he is desperate for the Cottagers to end the season by lifting the trophy.

"It has been an amazing journey, and in a way that night in Paris is a distant memory now."
