A blaze triggered by fireworks has torn through a five-star hotel in China, according to state media.
The fire in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province occured shortly after midnight on the first day of Chinese New Year.
Around 50 guests staying in the hotel were evacuated and there were no casualties reported.
Fire engines arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames that reached the top of the hotel, the tallest building in Shenyang, reaching 219 meters (718 feet) in height.
The initial police investigation indicates the fire was triggered by fireworks, which accidentally sparked off the external wall of the building.
Fireworks celebrations throughout the country are common during Chinese New Year and often produce several reports of injuries and fires caused by fireworks.
In 2009, an illegal fireworks display destroyed a hotel building attached to the unfinished, ultra-modern China Central Television headquarters, one of Beijing's most architecturally daring developments.
