Last time, Captain America and a thug were slugging it out in a giant crate, while the second thug had the Electronic Fire Bolt aimed at the crate, engulfing it in flames. Engulfing, yes, but not entirely engulfed. In other words, Cap was not supposedly or apparently dead when we left last time, just in an extremely perilous position. So when we come back to him this time, no creative editing or restructuring of last week’s climactic scene is necessary in the recapped version; Cap manages to knock out his opponent, then grabs the gun dropped in the struggle and shoots out the support struts securing one of the four sides of the crate. The side falls out, and presto! Captain America is free!
