Gunmen opened fire on a school bus in the Pakistani city of Peshawar killing at least three children and the driver, a police official said.
Deputy superintendent of police in Peshawar, Sahibzada Sajjad said first a rocket was fired but didn't hit its target, then gunmen opened fire.
At least five children were wounded.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Pakistan's Taliban, also allies of militants in neighbouring Afghanistan, are waging a campaign of mostly suicide bombings in a bid to topple the U.S.-backed government.
