Two days after a 6.9 earthquake shook parts of Tibet, Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Bhutan, landslides are a major concern. Dozens of people lost their lives from the tremors and people are now seeking refuge after their homes and schools were damaged.
Tibetan villagers in Yadong County erected emergency camps on Monday after a 6.9 magnitude quake in India's state of Sikkim shook the Himalayan region. According to state-run media CCTV it's left at least seven people dead and dozens more injured in Tibet.
More than 70 percent of the residential buildings in the area were unsafe and the tremors caused hundreds of landslides.
Transport links as well as water and power supplies have also been disrupted.
CCTV reports that around 100 people were injured after the quake struck.
Teachers at Yadong County Middle School evacuated the children, who were studying in their classrooms when the earthquake struck just after 12:30 Sunday afternoon.

"We evacuated the students immediately when the shock began, the teachers were the last to leave, just like our training during drills."
All 400 students are safe and 320 have been moved into emergency tents after the quake dislodged ceilings and left walls cracked in their school building.
Yadong County borders India's Sikkim, the epicenter of the earthquake which has killed 63 people in India, Nepal and Tibet.
The quake was felt in five countries, including Bangladesh and Bhutan.
