(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Montreal - October 18, 2011 - Domtar Corporation(NYSE: UFS) (TSX: UFS) has been nominated in five categories at the upcoming Pulp and Paper International (PPI) Awards 2011, including Environmental Strategy of the Year and Promotional Campaign of the Year - Environmental Message. The company was also shortlisted for Business Strategy of the Year, Efficiency Improvements of the Year (Domtar’s Kamloops Mill), and Mill Manager of the Year (Domtar’s Johnsonburg Mill Manager, Tom Detwiler).
These nominations cap off a string of honours in 2011 for Domtar’s PAPERbecause advocacy campaign in particular, including a Positively Print Award from the GraphicArts Show Company (GASC), Best in Show at the ACE Awards, Best of Category in the Business Marketing Association’s B2 Awards, recognition from both the Association of Independent Creative Editors and the Printing Industry of the Carolinas, and a NAMMU 2010 Environmental Award.
