This marvellous song may well be as much as 300 years old - and nobody seems to know who wrote it. (although the capitalists are trying to lay claim to the copyright of - course)
The song became much more widely known following it's appearance in the 2000 Coen brothers film 'O brother where art thou?' Simply brilliant !!
