An inquiry's underway after a three-year-old boy was attacked by a tiger at this roadside zoo in Russia.
Investigators say the tiger was secured to a post in a fenced enclosure but not caged.
The boy suffered head injuries.
Doctors say he's undergone emergency surgery but it's too early to tell if he'll pull through.
SOUNDBITE: Doctor Sergei Kulik, Amur regional hospital, saying (Russian):
"He was brought in in a bad condition. He had an emergency operation which lasted several hours. He's in intensive care now in a serious condition. It's hard to give any prognosis yet."
Authorities have yet to reveal if any charges will be brought against the zoo's owners.
