After an eight year hiatus fashion house Atelier Versace makes a glowing return.
The label presented its first Couture Paris Fashion Week collection since 2004.
Models glided down a golden staircase wearing sequined column dresses, golden studs and bodices encrusted with crystals.
Gold detail on dresses provided a military allure, while off-the-shoulder corset-inspired pieces were a main feature.
While Versace's couture renaissance was marked with bursts of yellow, green and red.
The structure of the garments designed by Donatella Versace was described as pleasing by Hollywood actress Diane Kruger.

"The architectural parts, I think, it is very structured, it keeps the body in a contained way, so that I think it is probably flattering to most women."
And actress Cameron Diaz agreed.
